The key points

1. Definitions and acceptance

These terms govern your use of the Raqame app for Android (package id com.ak.raqame), the raqame.net website, and the license server behind them. In these terms:

By installing or using the app or activating a license in it, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy; if you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is intended for business and professional use, and you must be 18 or the age of majority in your country, whichever is higher. You agree that accepting these terms and receiving notices and receipts happens electronically, with the effect of writing and signature.

2. Description of the app

Raqame is an inventory, sales, point-of-sale and accounting app that runs locally on your device. Your day-to-day work needs no internet connection; connectivity is limited to activation, transfer and the periodic check-in of subscriptions, and to optional services such as backup to Google Drive and e-invoicing. The app is a tool that helps you run your business, not an advisor: it does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice and is no substitute for your accountant or advisor.

3. License to use the app and its limits

The app is licensed to you, not sold to you: you buy a right of use, not ownership of the software or its source code. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license (except through the transfer mechanism in section 9) to use the app for your business under your plan. You may not:

4. Plans

5. The Lifetime license: what it includes and what it does not

5.1 What "Lifetime" means

"Lifetime" describes the term of the license: a license with no expiry date that stays valid for as long as you comply with these terms. It does not mean the lifetime of a person, a business or a particular device, nor a commitment from us to provide support, services or development without a time limit. The license is tied to one active device at a time and is transferred under section 9.

5.2 What it includes

5.3 What it does not include

Anything not expressly listed in section 5.2 is not included, in particular:

5.4 Updates and changes to features

We decide the content, timing and continuation of updates and commit to no schedule or duration. We may develop, redesign or merge features, and we may change or discontinue a feature where the law, security or a change by a third party (such as Google or the tax department) requires it. In return, we commit not to withdraw a core feature covered by a Lifetime license in order to offer it back to you as a subscription or for a new fee.

5.5 If we stop selling the plan or providing the product

If we stop selling the Lifetime plan, those who bought it before are unaffected. If we stop developing the app or operating the license server, your activated copy keeps working on your device, but updating, reactivating, moving to a new device, recovering through a Google account, or reinstalling (if the app is no longer available in the store) may no longer be possible. We will announce this reasonably in advance where possible, and make reasonable efforts to provide a way for Lifetime license holders to continue. Discontinuation does not entitle you to a refund of a license already activated and used, except where the law requires one.

6. Subscriptions and free trials

7. Purchases, resellers and refunds

8. Technical support and paid services

8.1 Basic support

We provide support through written channels: WhatsApp (@raqame) and email (support@raqame.net). Basic support, for holders of any active paid license, covers help with activating, transferring and recovering the license, receiving and verifying defect reports, and answering general questions about using the features. Free-plan users can report defects too.

Support is provided during normal business hours on a best-effort basis, with no committed response or resolution time. We decide how and when a defect is handled: a fix in a later update, a workaround, or guidance toward another way of doing it.

8.2 Paid services

The following services are not included in any license, and we may provide them, where available, for a price agreed in advance: training; setting up and configuring the app for your business (chart of accounts, opening balances, users and permissions); data entry, import or migration from other systems; custom print templates or cheque calibration; printer and network setup; attempts to recover data or repair damaged backups; remote sessions and site visits; priority support; and custom development or customization. We reserve the right to decline any request.

8.3 Limits of support

9. Devices and license transfer

10. License expiry and its effect

A Lifetime license does not expire with time. A subscription keeps working offline until its expiry date plus grace days (7 days for yearly and 3 for monthly; none for a trial). After that, or if more than 30 days pass without a successful online check-in, or if the device clock is turned back, the app falls back to the free plan described in section 4 until you renew or a check-in completes. Each add-on expires independently of the others, and its features also pause whenever the base license is inactive.

Your data is never deleted and never held hostage. Your database stays complete on your device, and access to your products, their export to Excel, their label printing and taking backups remain available at all times, and everything returns exactly as it was the moment you activate or renew.

11. Your responsibilities

12. E-invoicing (JoFotara)

The e-invoicing feature is a technical connection to the systems of Jordan's Income and Sales Tax Department. You are responsible for the correctness of your establishment's integration credentials, the accuracy of submitted invoices, and all of your tax obligations. We are not a party to your relationship with the Department and do not guarantee the availability of its systems or the acceptance of invoices. If the Department changes its requirements or interfaces, an app update may be needed and the service may pause until it is published.

13. Third-party services

Some features rely on services we do not own: Google Play (distribution and purchasing), Google Drive and Google Sign-In (backup and license recovery), the Income and Sales Tax Department's systems (e-invoicing), Cloudflare (hosting the license server), and WhatsApp (contact). Your use of them is subject to their providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their interruption, change or change in price; if a provider changes its terms or discontinues its service, we may have to change or discontinue the related feature without that being a breach on our part.

14. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its logo and the "Raqame / رقمي" mark belong to Raqame, and these terms grant you no rights in the trademarks or source code. The data you enter and the templates you design remain yours. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to develop the product without obligation or payment.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, though we work hard to make it so. The app's outputs (reports, financial statements, tax calculations) depend on the data you entered and are no substitute for review by your accountant. Built-in reference data, such as tax rates, currencies, countries and regions, is provided for convenience and can change with legislation; verify it before relying on it. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you; where that is so, it applies to the fullest extent the law allows.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, REPUTATION OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR FOR FINES OR TAX LIABILITIES, ARISING FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. IN ALL CASES, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE LICENSE OR SERVICE THE CLAIM CONCERNS, and for subscriptions, what you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. This section does not limit our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything the law does not allow to be limited.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless against any third-party claim, including by government authorities, arising from your breach of these terms, from data or invoices you entered or issued, or from your failure to comply with the tax or other laws that apply to your business.

18. Termination

We may revoke your licenses without refund if you materially breach these terms, such as by sharing the license, trading activation codes without authorization, attempting to circumvent the licensing system, or committing payment or refund fraud. You may stop using the app at any time; note that this does not cancel a Google Play subscription automatically. In every case your data remains on your device and is unaffected by termination.

19. Force majeure

We are not in breach of our obligations for any delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, internet or power outages, failures of service providers, government decisions and cyberattacks.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are published on this page with an updated date above; material changes are announced on this page and through our contact channels, and in the app where possible, a reasonable time before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance. No change that materially reduces what a paid license already bought includes applies to that license retroactively, unless required by law, security or a change by a third party.

21. Your legal rights and general provisions

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Before going to court, both parties agree to try to settle any dispute amicably by contacting support for at least 30 days. The competent Jordanian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law allows.
